Frequently Asked Questions

Are your treats made with simple ingredients?

Yes! Our treats are made with simple, single-ingredient recipes whenever possible. No fillers, artificial flavors, or unnecessary additives.

Why choose freeze-dried treats?

Freeze-dried treats are:

  • High in protein and nutrients

  • Lightweight and easy to store

  • Great for training and rewards

  • Minimally processed

  • Naturally flavorful dogs love them

Are freeze-dried treats safe for all dogs?

Most dogs do very well with freeze-dried treats, but we always recommend supervising your pet while treating and introducing new foods gradually, especially for dogs with sensitivities or special dietary needs.

Why are the sweet potato treats white sometimes?

This is completely normal! Sweet potatoes can naturally develop white coloring or white spots during the freeze-drying process. The white appearance is caused by natural starches and sugars crystallizing as moisture is removed. It does not mean the treats are moldy or spoiled.

How long do freeze-dried treats last?

Our freeze-dried treats typically last between 6–12 months depending on storage conditions and exposure to moisture, heat, humidity, and air. Each bag is labeled with packaging date.

For best freshness:

  • Store in a cool, dry place

  • Keep bags sealed tightly after opening

  • Avoid direct sunlight and humidity

  • Use within a reasonable time after opening

Do the treats need to be refrigerated?

No refrigeration is needed as long as the treats are stored properly in a sealed container or bag in a cool, dry environment.

Are your treats raw?

Freeze-dried treats are minimally processed and retain many of the benefits of raw ingredients. However, handling practices should still follow normal pet food safety guidelines.

Can puppies have freeze-dried treats?

Yes! Many puppies enjoy freeze-dried treats. We recommend choosing appropriately sized treats and supervising younger dogs while eating.

Do you use preservatives?

No artificial preservatives are added. Freeze-drying itself helps naturally preserve the treats by removing moisture.

What if my treats arrive broken or crushed?

Because freeze-dried treats are delicate, some crumbling during shipping is normal. The treats are still perfectly safe to eat and many dogs love the smaller pieces just as much!

How should I transition my dog to freeze-dried treats?

Start with small amounts and monitor your dog’s digestion, especially if they are trying freeze-dried foods for the first time. Gradually increase as tolerated.

Are your treats sourced and made in the USA?

Yes! We proudly focus on high-quality ingredients and careful sourcing standards.
